If all three versions of Gleeoks are intimidating, King Gleeok is in a whole new ballpark. Just getting an audience with her is a task in itself.
Even if you think you have what it takes, or if you simply want Sage’s Will he can protect, you’ll want to be prepared. Here we cover all the preparation you need to do if you want to be the tough one.
Where to find King Gleeok locations
There are four King Gleuc in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomeach representing a triple threat of fire, ice, and thunder.
King Gleeok sites are:
- West Hebra Archipelago (-4470, 2175, 1252)
- Sky Island over Eventide Island (4652, -3827, 1065)
- Sky Island in the Gerudo Sky (-4447, -2730, 1419)
- Gleeok Den deep in the Greater Hyrule Forest (0141, 3127, -0622)
Here’s what Sky Island looks like – with the one above Eventide Isle in particular:

To get there, you’ll want to head to Kumamayn Shrine, just east of the Rabella Wetlands Tower. If you haven’t done this shrine, it’s part of the “The Necluda Sky Crystal” shrine quest, which is a vital step on the path to defeating King Gleeok for two reasons. Because of the loot, you can do this: Zonaite bow.

If you’ve done any of the other Gleeoks, you’ll know how hard it can be to seal the deal when the boss flies through the air to launch his final attack. King Gleeok rises to a higher level (for the platform, we really are waaaaay up here), which makes the extra reach you get with this bow a game-changer.
The issue, of course, is the transportation of the crystal to the shrine. This includes the removal of Flux Construct 3 – a super-augmented version of Flux Construct fought on Great Sky Island where the game begins properly.

Once you’ve opened the shrine and crouched, head to the southeastern tip of the Sky Island you’re on and look into the distance. You just have to specify your destination. This is obviously a bit too far for traditional Sky Island navigation, so we’ll need to get creative.
We used a device made with two chariots, a flame emitter, one balloon, two propellers, and two joysticks. You can see it in action below — be aware that unless you’ve maxed out your battery storage, you’ll likely want to use some large Zonai charges.

Once you are within walking distance, slide down to the platform.

Once you’ve landed, go to your essentials and lay out the Travel Medallion (you get it from Robbie as part of Presentation: The Travel Medallion). This will allow you to come and go as necessary, and save you the trouble the next time you want to fight, or if you realize you are not ready.

How to prepare for King Gleoc
King Gleeok is one of the toughest bosses you’ll come across Zelda: Tears of the KingdomTherefore, preparation is essential for survival and success. Here’s a summary of what you need.

Needless to say, King Gleeok can knock you to within a quarter inch of your life in a single blow, even when you have as many hearts as we do. As a result, you’ll need plenty of high-quality foods to get through it.

In Kingdom’s Tears, this means skewers of meat. To prepare the meat skewer with the “full recovery” reward, you only need to cook 5 types of raw meat.

“But wait,” we hear you say. “This is a rare item!”
You’re absolutely right, but don’t worry; We got you. Head to Orucium Shrine at Tabantha Frontier and tour the wooded areas, as far south as “Sign Guy,” in search of bears and moose. The quickest and easiest way to do this is by riding a horse. Just jump (X button) off your horse to fly through the air – one shot to the head will result in two or three pieces of Raw Prime Meat quality or higher.

If you cook 5 Raw Prime Meat at once, you will get a skewer that will return 15 hearts, which is also worth doing.

Believe it or not, the humble Spring might just be the most powerful Zonai in the game.
For starters, try our tip for beating Lynel in under a minute using only a bow and spring, and you’ll come back with a new, fierce admiration for the technique.
You should have caught Spring early in the game, but in case you missed it, you can pick it up from the hardware distributor in the Necluda Sky Archipelago. We entered this battle with eight springs and used six of them.

We have already mentioned Zonaite bow, which is vital in the final step of a fight, but make sure you have a backup too – for two reasons. the first if it is broken; The second is that King Gleeok can ram your active weapon out of your hand and knock it off the platform.
This isn’t the kind of fight where if you drop a weapon you can scribble – your weapons are like baby albatrosses – once they fall away from you they’re gone forever.
Along with your Sagittarius, you’ll want to be prepared Four weapons. The first two weapons should be the most powerful weapon you can craft with the element of your choice – fire or ice. We went for Flame, as we had more Gleeok Flame Horns.

Attach it to Gerudo’s original Spear from the Depths as you gaze upon a Power of 72 weapon with Durability Up+.

This weapon still breaks about a third of the way in combat, so be sure to bring another weapon of the same element.
Your third weapon should be a mirror – if you bring two fires, make sure you have a powerful ice-type weapon. The reason for this is that each vertex is weak to the corresponding element, like all of the Gleeoks. If during the battle you find yourself on the wrong side of the king, you will not have time to run around him in order to take advantage of your best weapon; You need to adapt and switch to the weapon that works for the next few seconds.

Finally, and we can’t believe we did it, we hit the last stage of the boss and we’re out of stock. Make sure you have at least 30, ideally 50 before entering this fight.
How do you defeat King Gleoc?
Well, we are done with all the preparation; it’s time to go. Sleep through the night (this is important for the second phase of the fight, which we’ll explain as we go) and then teleport with the Travel Medallion to King Gleeok’s Sky Island.
(As mentioned above, we’ll be looking at a location-specific battle – King Gleeok is on the island around Eventide Isle – but the strategy here will apply to all encounters.)
level 1
The first thing you need to do is get to safety behind one of the giant rock pillars, or any other such things that you can hide behind. For us, meeting Sky Island over Eventide Island, we moved to the southern part of the island and ran, jumped and slid to the right. You can see here:

The trick for the first two-thirds of a fight is to keep that column in the way until you’re ready to roll. It is indestructible. It was not.
Set up a spring next to the pole, jump on it and slam it into the ground to get airborne. We have two springs here, but only one is necessary at this point.

Once in flight, we need to attack each head separately. They have much more health than previous Gleeoks, so expect to hit each head twice. The flame head must be hit with something icy (fruit icing or white jelly), the frost head with something fiery (fire fruit) and the thunder head with something strong (Gibdo Bones). Once you deal enough damage to each head, it will bounce up in the air and drop to the firm ground.

Like you, King Gleoc is damaged by a fall; Drop from the air above it, aiming at the head you want to attack (hint: if your most powerful weapon is a firearm, aim at the ice head), but open the parachutist at the last moment to avoid damage. Equip your best weapon for the boss you’re next to and head right into town.

You only have a few seconds, and then he’ll quickly rise up and blow you away. Take this opportunity to retreat to your safe spot (your spring) and prepare to come back again.

Stage 2 – the hard way
King Gleeok will drop into the air once he takes off about two-thirds of his health. Incredibly high and raining down on you from each of the three capes. This is the part where Fighting at Night really makes a difference.

When lightning strikes the ground, it will create an updraft. You need to ride these as high as you can while dodging icicles, lighting and fire – which is very difficult in the utter chaos that becomes the battlefield.

Stage 2 – the easy way
Or you can skip it all by pledging allegiance to Spring—a true Zonai device.
Take springs from your bag and place them on the floor. They will stack automatically. Quickly attach it with the Ultrahand and then climb to the top. Ground pound and up we go.
This takes you quite a distance with most bows, as the Zonai bow comes in the clutch.

King Gleeok drops/rewards
Wow, that was a tough fight. Congratulations if you’ve made it this far – you’ve earned what the king falls and what he protects.
First, you can catch the loot you drop: for us, that was it Five Gleeuck Wings, Gleeuck Courage, and one each of the three trumpets: Gleeuck Flame Horn, Gleeuck Frosthorn, and Gleeuck Thunderhorn. These are incredibly powerful, so be sure to grab them.

Courage makes a “powerful” elixir, and the suite has an impressive effect +24 fuse attack power And it makes your arrows / thrown weapons fly farther. Centuries, however, progress +30 fuse attack powermaking it among the most powerful items in the game.
